The CalPlant project is the first medium-density fiberboard (MDF) manufacturing plant in the world utilizing rice straw as the raw material for its product.
2nd Place Industrial/Manufacturing – Project Shakespeare 鈥� Columbia Distributing
Columbia Distributing鈥檚 new warehouse and distributing facility sits on a 42-acre site in the Canby Pioneer Industrial Park.
3rd Place Industrial/Manufacturing – Project Gutenberg
Project Gutenberg included a new, single-story structural steel frame facility with an attached three-story production facility of 113,245 square feet.
1st Place Infrastructure – Astoria Waterfront Bridge Replacements
The Astoria Waterfront Bridge Replacements project combines 200 years of history, six new bridges, two accelerated construction seasons and a handful of public agencies into one complex project that will keep Astoria鈥檚 historic waterfront and signature trolley car running smoothly decades into the future.
2nd Place Infrastructure – ilani Casino Resort Parking Structure
ilani Casino Resort鈥檚 six-story parking structure houses 2,600 stalls in 1 million square feet of cast-in-place concrete.
3rd Place Infrastructure – Gideon Street Overcrossing Project
The Gideon Street Overcrossing is a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that restored an important connection in Southeast Portland鈥檚 Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood that was eliminated by the TriMet MAX Orange Line alignment.
1st Place Mixed-Use – The Canyons
The Canyons was designed for residents of all ages and abilities and with sustainability and accessibility in mind.
2nd Place Mixed-Use – 5 MLK
Located in Portland鈥檚 Central Eastside, 5 MLK is a 17-story tower with 220 apartments, 117,000 square feet of office space and 15,000 square feet of retail space.
3rd Place Mixed-Use – NW23 & NWGS Mixed-Use Buildings
A 2016 gas leak from a neighboring construction project caused an explosion that completely destroyed the original wood frame structure at the corner of Northwest 23rd Avenue and Glisan Street, and caused major damage to the 2281 Glisan building, now known as NWGS.
1st Place Multifamily – 230 Ash
The first development in the proposed Ankeny Blocks project, 230 Ash is a mixed-income apartment building in Portland鈥檚 Skidmore/Old Town Historic District.
2nd Place Multifamily – Chloe on Madison
Prominently located in Seattle鈥檚 Capitol Hill neighborhood, Chloe on Madison is a 148,000-square-foot structure with 137 apartments and a three-story atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows that blur the lines between indoors and outside.
