Cully neighborhood street upgraded

A new water main is a part of the upgrade that is under way on the stretch of Cully from Killingsworth to Prescott streets. The work for the Oregon Department of Transportation and the city of Portland includes repaving, and adding sidewalks, storm-water swales, lighting, landscaping and traffic signals.

Burnside-Couch couplet almost complete

The East Burnside-Couch couplet, a Portland project to redirect a portion two-way East Burnside Street traffic to one-way eastbound traffic on Burnside and one-way westbound traffic on Couch Street, is scheduled to be completed next month.

Work is under way to demolish the Vancouver Avenue bridge over the Columbia Slough in North Portland. Replacement of the 75-year-old bridge became necessary when, nearly two years ago, the wood supports ignited from a fire built by transients.

The new ramp across Southeast Powell Boulevard in Portland is part of an Oregon Department of Transportation project to improve Powell Boulevard.
