Roosevelt Hotel exterior upgraded

The exterior of the historic Roosevelt Hotel in downtown Portland is getting an upgrade. Terra cotta is being restored and cornices are being replaced on the 90-year-old building at the corner of Southwest Salmon Street and Ninth Avenue.

Qdoba to open in Lloyd District space

A former pizza restaurant in Portland's Lloyd District is being remodeled to become a Mexican restaurant. Qdoba Mexican Grill will soon occupy the 3,000-square-foot building at the corner of Northeast Weidler Street and Eighth Avenue.

Building renovated for Gearhead Associates

A building in Portland’s Corbett-Terwilliger neighborhood is undergoing an extensive renovation to become the home for Gearhead Associates. The brick building was constructed nearly a century ago and is getting seismic, electrical and mechanical upgrades as well as interior finishes to offices and a workshop.

Washington Park condos renovated

The Washington Park condominium complex, built in 1965 in Southwest Portland, is undergoing a renovation. The exterior of the 11-story building at 2211 S.W. Park Place is getting new windows and new metal and stucco siding.

North Park Blocks building renovated

The shell of a one-story, 22,000-square-foot building on Portland's North Park Blocks is being renovated to become two leasable spaces - one for retail and one for office. The building at the corner of Northwest Park Avenue and Everett Street has high ceilings with sand-blasted wooden beams.

Tigard mental health clinic upgraded

Additions and upgrades are being constructed at a mental health clinic campus in Tigard. Work is under way at three existing buildings at 11895 S.W. Greenburg Road. They house administrative offices and clinics for Luke-Dorf Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides mental health care to clients in parts of Multnomah and Washington counties. Eco-roofs and skylights are being installed.

Green Wyatt building begins renovation

Work has begun on the major renovation of the Edith Green-Wendell Wyatt Federal Building in downtown Portland. The 18-story structure, constructed in 1975, will receive structural, electrical and mechanical updates that could lead to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design platinum certification.

Work begins on Meier & Frank warehouse for Vestas

Renovation work is beginning on the former Meier & Frank warehouse in Portland’s Pearl District. The building at the corner of Northwest Everett Street and 14th Avenue will be the headquarters of wind turbine company Vestas American Wind Technology.

Spalding Building lobby remodeled

The lobby of the Spalding Building in downtown Portland is in the middle of a remodel. The 12-story, 99-year-old building at 319 S.W. Washington St. had lost some of its historic character after several renovations.

Burnside space renovated for vitamin store

A renovation is beginning to transform a former car stereo store into a vitamin supplement store. Super Supplements, a Seattle-based retail company, will move into the 5,000-square-foot building at 1016 W. Burnside St. in mid-winter.
