The administration building at the Willamette National Cemetery in Southeast Portland has an updated entrance walkway and a new ramp for accessibility. Hutchison Constructors LLC was the general contractor and Van Lom Concrete was the major subcontractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs project.

An interior renovation of a 1,600-square-foot house in Southwest Portland is nearly finished. The 1950s-era structure at 5861 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway is being modified to become the Elkjer Dental Clinic, a family and cosmetic dental practice.

An exterior renovation is nearly finished at a residential complex in Northwest Portland. The seven units at the corner of Northwest Thurman Street and 25th Avenue are getting new siding, porches and paint.

A former clothing store in downtown Portland is in the early stages of being transformed into a bicycle shop. West End Bikes is expected to soon move into the space at the corner of Southwest Stark Street and 11th Avenue.

Remodel under way at Shriners Hospital

Now that the Shriners hospital addition is finished, the original building in Southwest Portland is being remodeled. The first floor will have a new lobby and entrance, more exam rooms and a renovated outpatient clinic when work is completed in spring 2011.

Renovation of the Clifford Apartments in inner-Southeast Portland is nearing completion. The four-story building, which was built in 1911, has 88 affordable residential units, an on-site laundry facility and secure storage units.

A new 7-Eleven convenience store is being prepared in downtown Portland. The 2,200-square-foot space, which formerly housed a camera store, is at the corner of Southwest Taylor Street and Fourth Avenue.

St. Johns car delearship renovated into grocery store

A former car dealership in the St. Johns neighborhood in North Portland is undergoing a renovation and addition to become a grocery store. The 13,500-square-foot, one-story building at 7747 N. Lombard St. will be the home for a Grocery Outlet after the shell is completed in January and the tenant improvement is finished after that.

A medical space in Northwest Portland is in the middle of a phased, fast-track renovation to become a dental office. The first phase of the remodel of the space at 1809 N.W. Davis St. will create a new reception area and two clinic rooms.
